your fault? his fault?

As predicted, something that's not exactly my fault exploded in an ugly mess that spawned millions of blame-pointing fingers.
Technically, I've done my part, hampered by red tapes and lack of background info on the business process which is unique to this "big" govt organisation.
Truthfully, I could have done better to expedite things.
In reality, that'll be hounding people to death and that would wear out my acceptance pretty quickly.

I hate these situations. I wonder if I offer myself as the target tomorrow, will my boss freak out?
