Low Fertility Rate and Cost of Living

Fertility Rate is such a useful tool.  It can be used by the Government to justify a restoration of the immigration rate.  It can be used by mothers to demand payouts for their unborn child, even though they have already *made* the decision to have one.  It can be used by the Opposition to cry about the Cost of Living.

We are perhaps one of the most prosperous Island states in the world.  That comes at the price of a high inflation rate and a volatile economy.  Most newly formed families cannot afford to rely on a single source of income.  Inflation will erode their earnings over time, and what is job security these days?

Perhaps that's the ill of a modern society.  We're on a canoe, in a mad ride, and the way to survive is to plow ahead.

Married, 20.12.2010

It's been a long road, getting from there to here.
It's been a long time, and my time is finally near.

Hard to imagine it has been 3 years since we're together, and 5 since we met.
To many more, dear.

Samsung's U.S. Galaxy S pages showing Froyo, but updates still missing

Note that the news says U.S.
Not sure about SG though.

Anime I'm watching or have watched

1. Marvel Ironman
JW: The early episodes are stand alone and the show came to an end too quickly.
Disappointing.

2. Code Geass
JW: It has its typical share of teenager-with-special-powers, and eye candies for boys.  The dark tone of this anime later warmed up.  I liked the deep thought behind the strategies, but the impossibly fast and powerful Gundams Knightmares put me off.
Overall, I enjoyed this series.

3. Kemono no Souja
JW: Was hunting for a new anime to watch and came across this.  Slow paced story telling and drawn with simple lines.  It tells the story of a little girl working behind the lines with her mother, in a land guarded by giant lizards called Touda.
Looks promising =)

Push Your Automated Android to Awesome Heights with These Tasker Setups

It's an app to allow you to setup automated tasks, if you can dream it.  For example, you could set your handphone to silent once you check into a library.  Or you could lower your phone's volume when you're in your house and louder if you're outside.
What interests me in this article is they described how you could set it up to reduced the frequency your sms are checked, thereby saving battery power.

Don't be an ass one day, and be a nice guy on another.  Make up your mind.
