Very little news: part 3

Grandma seemed livier today.

At 2.30pm, the nurse came to prepare her for the ops.

At 4pm, she was returned to her bed after scoping.

She kept complaining abt the poking and how the doctor is going to put metal things into her. In their "hurry" to assure her, I think the "adults" missed out the fact that it might be a stent operation next. If that's so, that's... good news.

A stent is a cylindrical wire mesh. It is directed to the desired artery, the way scoping is done. Once reached, an inflatable balloon will enlarge the mesh, making it hold the artery open. The balloon and the scope is withdrawn, leaving the wire mesh to support the artery.
