You dare stand between me and my seat??!!

Went out with P today after my badminton game. When our train reached Bugis, we saw that a woman and her friend were standing smack in the center of our door on the platform. "Oh great", I thought, "Another one of those people".
The doors opened and they parted slightly to the side, obstructing the outward flow of disembarking passengers. Such behaviour irks us and our solution is to bash our way out. I hugged my badminton bag to my chest and staggered out clumsily, forcing her to retreat a micro-inch. As I passed her, I heard her scold us (passengers) "Faster, faster". I think my face must have registered shock, "What cheek!”
P was behind me. They didn't dare touch a deliberately clumsy 60+kg worth of fats but P must be like a Styrofoam board in comparison. According to him, the woman squeezed past him and gave him a back handed slap on the thigh as he tried the same stunt as me.
Wah biang! You block outgoing passengers, scold them and beat them? Cheek, cheek, cheek!

Can I take this opportunity to appeal to my peers?
Please give way to disembarking passengers.

Once, I had deliberately arranged with a friend to exit the train in parallel. We would both stand at the door side by side, and walk (push our way) out refusing to converge into a single line. It looked as if we were extremely rude, bashing our way out. One lady even give us that shocked kind of look as I brushed past her, as if I just did the most ridiculous thing she has ever saw. But hey, if these people weren't there blocking us like statues on the road refusing to move, we wouldn't need to have pushed!

It's a very simple logic, isn't it? You let the people exit quickly, so you can also board quickly. By blocking the exit, you are limiting your entrance at the same time.

Perhaps the government should give out cash bonuses for people who let passengers exit the trains without blocking their way... or slap a "No Blocking of Passengers" fine of $500 for each offender.
